Fishing the token out of my pocket
I lift the receiver and listen
Greeted by a monotone invitation to
Complete the transaction
I insert with delicate assertiveness and
Am met with a satisfying sound

There is a definite carnal feel to this poem - sex with very little chance of a phone call, perhaps? I would be curious to know her version of events.

I have read this poem multiple times, and everytime I read it I take away new meaning. This is a sign of great poetry!
