The world was stricken with poverty, in its entirety. The people that lived upon this world led a pitiful existence. All awaited for the angel of death to unfurl her wings upon them. They felt in this desolate place that there was no longer a reason to continue surviving.

Everyday, all day, these people prayed for their god to set them free. But their god never responded to their empty cries for help. None of them had any faith, due to their poverty stricken status. They just wanted out of this horrid place. They were all willing to do anything to escape. But there was one thing that they wouldn’t do. They would never sink so low as to commit the most dishonorable act. This act is the act of suicide.

But then one day a fellow person had faith. This was when their nightmarish hell, turned into a heavenly dream. This person, who before this felt no reason to pray, realized that the only way to escape this horrible domain was to believe. He prayed for days with true faith in his heart. Finally, a true believer stepped forward and offered his praise.

Many days after this true believer stepped forward, something occurred of unimaginable proportions. This was something that no one in this world could ever comprehend. A being of such beauty came from the heavens. The beauty was describable, as the sun setting over a majestic desert, or the starlit twilight of the beach on a clear summer’s eve. Nothing can truly describe the beauty of this being, this angel.

As the angel descended, the skies began to clear. The rivers that once ran black with tar and oil now ran clear with ice cold water. The boundless plains of dead, brown, grass now grew healthy and green. This was a day that had been long awaited by the inhabitants of this world. None ever saw this day coming, but it was always there. All they had to do… was believe.

Hmmmm.... Angel of death is female? I KNEW IT! (Thanks for the confirmation!). Oops, back to the writing: only question I have is in what did the first true believer believe in? Herself? Angel of Death? Their god? It just isn't clear from the third paragraph what the fellow person had faith in. Happy story :-)

The true believer believed in their god. He was the only one who did, that is what gave their god the motivation to help them. It was that one good soul. Thank you for commenting.

I think I am going to leave my theology a secret for a while. Maybe someone on the site may be able to figure it out. Post your guesses as a comment or just PM them to me. I will tell you weather you are right or wrong. Enjoy.
