Don't kill your life as I have slayed mine.
Although I still have a body,
(which I drag around when I have to),
I am very much deceased.
My mind and peace have separated.
Now all that remains is my topsy-turviness.
Rocking on my chair,
as I sink six feet in the ground.
I don't want to reenact "The Night of the Living Dead",
so I'll have to deal with the asphyxiation.
I bury myself.
If I acted upon what I commiserated,
I would unquestionably be put away.
Such an inviolable and unassailable place,
its deviating from what is ordinary.
With a quaint and mysterious face,
staring at me blasphemously.
Don't tie me to myself,
its the worst thing you could do.
My disorder is of self-abuse.
I tear at my limbs more often than the animals,
Being held by restless nights and straight-jackets,
its the most uncomfortable I've ever been.
Locked in a box, I cannot pull any Houdini tricks to escape.
I'm just the dead weight you could live without. [comments] => 5 [counter] => 199 [topic] => 32 [informant] => allforyou [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => SadPoetry )

I don't mean this to sound cold. This is advice that was given to me by a very dear friend. I sounded a lot like you at the time. He told me to get out of myself. I think it's exactly what you need to do. Stop looking so intently at you that you miss everything else in life.

Oooh, how very cynical but incredible! I'm in love this one. The allusions and metaphors are amazingly well fit for this poem! The self-hatred just pours out of it and then there is the word choice which was also incredible. Nicely done on the vocabulary as well. I think this is definitely a favorite! Keep Writing!

That this was an awsome peice..The way you use your vocabulary stands out and really makes the writing jump out and make people think...Nice job!
