with scarbs from head to toe
and with the slightest movement
the blood, again, will flow

I have a scab for friends
who stab you in the back
another one for boyfriends
who leave and don't come back

I have one for deceit
And one for sinful lust
And all that's in between
that causes my distrust

A scab is like a wall
that's there to stop the flow
but the feelings along with it
do nothing else but grow

Then there is that day
that the blood again breaks free
by simply one mean phrase
that brings back a memory [comments] => 5 [counter] => 199 [topic] => 32 [informant] => breny [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => SadPoetry )

You know about twenty six years ago when I was in first grade a boy would always tear off his scabs to impress the girls and let it bleed out..The bad thing here is that is all that came to mind when I read this..
