I want out of my life
I want to be somebody new
I don't like who I'm living with
How about you?

I am so chaotic
It's a wonder I don't combust
I see people with all their THINGS
And I am filled with lust

Why can't I have this?
Why can't I have that?
I'm sick of the same song
No matter how I try, I always end up wrong

I want out of my life
Now how can this be true?
I am a woman, mother, wife
with way too much to do!

I feel like I am barely gripping
To the thread of sanity
There's this and that and another
And everyone turns to me....

Why can't I take a bubble bath?
Why can't I read a book?
Why am I always the ONE
To clean and then to cook?

I want out of my life
Yes, I know that I repeat
But as long as I keep pressing on
I keep fending off defeat.

I Want Out

I want out of my life
I want to be somebody new
I don't like who I'm living with
How about you?

I am so chaotic
It's a wonder I don't combust

Why can't I have that?

I want out of my life

I loved this poem..... I feel the same thing sometimes.... that some feeling & things in my life are to overwelming.... beautiful poem!

Calgon, take me away !!!! I had to start investigating, I kept seeing freckles sowing up in comments on my writes. I am glad I did.
A good one to start out in too as I can so completely relate. I look forward to reading more.
