Where does the time go?
Riding this rollercoaster called life
You go from being in your teens
To mid-aged with children and a wife

You go from late Friday nights
Listening to a rock ‘n roll band
To early-to-bed evenings
And driving a minivan

Gone are the carefree days
Gone are the golden locks of hair
Replaced with a receding hairline
And a brand new rocking chair

As our bones become more brittle
Life becomes more hard
For there are more things for our kids to get into
And there are holes in our guard

Every day on the TV
I see commercials for supplements to regain youth
But can you rely on an infomercial?
To really tell you the truth

Do I really have to grow old gracefully?
Or can I go back to when I was young?
If you’re asking for my opinion
Young was much more fun

This was funny. Great write. Although, I had my first child when I was 32 the second at 38. So now I'm 40 and to tell you the truth, I feel a lot better now than I did when I was 20. Kids keep me young.(although I do have a few more lines on my face and some achey joints) Hee Hee Much peace to you.
