softly with the rain...
broken songs left behind
on purpose, but in vain.

Some nights weep,
and you weep with them
not knowing why-
silver tears of silence.

But may you know the
shining dawn of faithfulness,
that falters not in the face
of the mocking darkness.

There is always a greater hope-
a light that the hours cannot stain
that comes not just as anchor and shore
but a river deep… of forgiveness.

And there are dreams, my friend,
dreams that can change whispers
into mountain-songs of majesty,
and there are victories in brokenness.

And they shall come again,
those nights when you stand...
a lone soldier against an army.
But, stand strong my friend.

A hundred battles more your sword
will win... a thousand wars subdue,
and then, you will yearn for no crown of gold,
for your soul itself will be molded in glory.

This is wonderful --- the ending in particular. i think... I sighed aloud at the conclusion. And this...

And there are dreams, my friend,
dreams that can change whispers
into mountain-songs of majesty,
and there are victories in brokenness.

... speaks to me. I believe I understand this from the inside out, so to speak.

Amen! (self says in just a bit of a mountain-song voice, because he so agrees)

This message means so much. And one that only gains beauty every time it's sung.

Blessings to you.
Andrew
