do you think you can grow into me
underneath this old church pew;
beyond the great fields, faces so few.

`O eyes of emerald,
lust for these old bones
that once of ancient took in heed,
what they felt for you.
Could it have been nothing less than love,
upholding once these eyes,
that now so proudly
turn away from hands outstretched,

never knowing the glamor of starlit seas.

Now, smiles shown and laughter heard is but
a plea,
that death be kind and swiftly carry
its bitter kiss.

If these fingers, weary and yet inexperienced,
be severed,
let them fall away; away from this cold world,
where they might be free
from all of the anguish in these airs.

`O dearest of mine, that you should know me shall be enough,
I hate sobriety, I need you, to feel you, to know your eyes,
to have your sweet breath run through my veins
your smile to fill my breast

to be intoxicated with hops of love and pall lips
that will not speak.

Again I awake,
beneath this old church pew
that at one time held my peace;
it is lost in an eternity of grief
i can not find it, with you, without you;

again it surfaces, if merely for an instance,
rainbow rivers and me,
yet pencil marks to you.
Erase me if you will,
and I will, if marked lightly,
disappear quietly, but if marked deeply within your heart i will
only fade slightly, never truly departing.
You are my creation; I am yours; may we together
draw on this world,
with charcoal in hands (as small as tears in rain)

love, it’s... [comments] => 4 [counter] => 198 [topic] => 48 [informant] => iodinelove [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )

Great work. I love the flow and the imagery. I really enjoyed the ending verses.
