Array ( [sid] => 82486 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Campus [time] => 2005-02-01 14:31:02 [hometext] => I was lonely one evening when I was taking a late class [bodytext] => I scrall through the grounds of darkness and doom
people stare as I see there heads but I can't see there faces
the faces are hidden from me all blend in to one
all are one
I think of you and your distinct face and your eyes of light
but all I see here are these poisoned inmates on skid row
Hatred is displayed most and dissatisfaction by the rest
"You don't belong here one girl says"
but I cant rember her name or her face
may be amy or jully or some other common tag
There are gaurds at the entrence you may not be able to see them, but they
are there all the same.
When the lights go out and the cold falls in
the buildings grow still and
I fill with trepidation and I run for any place but hear but I can not leave
the guards are here... in my mind
I must stay and complete my duties
but I must leave ...
I fly to a place were I recognize faces and names
were the eyes of the people
are bright and wet.
and the names are meaningful and bring forth memories
of happy times.
I see your face
and I muse your name upon my lips and
I feel the warmth return to my fingers
I see your eyes and instantly feel rescued from the grounds of darkness and doom
I may have to go back tomorow
I may have to stay all day
and be in a crowd of people I don't know
but I will have your face and your voice to guide me through the night
and in the cold weather, I will have your muffler to warm my hands with
as if they were your own and
I will survive this battlegroung that is college

I love the image of college being a prison, its fitting. Might want to edit a little for spelling, but otherwise its great.
