Letting you and others know exactly what i feel
Showing you the life of me
What you get is what you see
So how dare you question me

If i want to write about suicide thats exactly what i'll do
There's no way i'd pretend to feel any diffrent just to satisfy you
Sorry i'm not the person you wish me to be
I wite about what i feel and that's simply me

I will write about whatever boils deep inside
If you don't like it then you can step aside
Just don't question me anymore
Don't read my writing if it's not what you long for

Now it's my turn to question you
Why do any of us do the things we do?
Because it's free will and we choose to

I hope those were the answers you were looking for
Maybe now you won't question me anymore
I am who i am and will forever be
I am Alucia Simmons and that's simply me

This was a really touching piece. The easier ppl come to terms with themselves, they do so with others. Very few people are as sincere as u were in this poem. Beautiful work

That's Good,... i like it.... i have a short saying myself ..... i am what u see, i see what i am... and in the end.... see all there is to see.... i like yours so blunt into expression, without actual offensiveness....

Beautiful write, gorgeous. Blunt and to the point. I get asked a lot why I never write about anything happly also, and I simply reply, "Writing about tragedy is what I'm best at, because it's all I've ever known." But, I think you out did me here. Awesomeistic poem. *Hugs, and much love.*

Jessica.

For the record - I quite agree. Personally, I think it's just foolish for someone to tell a person what to or what not to write about. We write about what moves us, what interests us, what we know, what we long for, who and what we love - hate - need.... or whatever it was that crossed our mind at that particular moment when we sat down to write. It occurs to me that there is probably nothing that would appeal to everyone - and, in an odd sort of way, I think there is something wonderful in that.

Your point is abundantly clear here, Alucia. You've expressed yourself well.

With an apology for my rambling on so,
~SNM~

OH THANK YOU!! EVERYONE SHOULD READ THIS!! My dear Alucia, people seem to not realize that they yearn for this kind of respect also..and yet, they go and say something like "Why don't you write anything happy in your life?" Hypocrisy... Disgusting. We all have our own way of expressing, and our feelings that are within the poem should not be messed with. It is what it is, you wrote about what you were feeling at that precise moment, and people should not butcher it. You are simply you.. and your name fits you very well! Thank you so much for this incredible write!!

I shall read and comment more when time permits, my friend. You have inspired me, and must succumb to my yearnings to write.. Merci once more, for voicing out what other people have been longing to say...yet, did not have the power to. All my love! Forever,

Your friend,

Stephy
