all ages past,
Yet, our steps now sing new songs, for a
never-before sky.
Our steps fall in hearts of seasons that never
breathed before, yet
Resounding with the music that has always lived,
In a dreamer’s eye,
In the steadfast star.

Some roads lie hidden in a soft mist…
hidden like a poem,
That lies just beyond the words, some roads
don’t tell their secrets,
Until that bend, where we turn and find
the answers,
Waiting silently, and yet with open arms,
We find them in wonder,
In wonder, they smile.

A river runs right across our hearts,
cutting through,
And taking pieces with it’s bright flow,
away, beyond…
Meeting our tomorrows before we
meet them,
And underneath the ocean it flows to, lie
Treasures of laughter,
And tears to weep.

Hands leave their imprints deep in hands,
when paths separate.
There is a place where they stay held,
their warmth remains,
And we will meet there again some day,
not far away.
For just when the night seems the darkest,
We will see, at last
The dawn come again.

Nothing worthwhile can ever be truly
measured,
The gifts of the hearts can never be stored,
endless, untold.
Their stories are engraved in fire, on the
soul of the soul,
Stories of the road...that have walked with us all along,
And of hope and all things beautiful,
Of love and all things strong.

And the course of all that really matters,
of dreams that wait,
With all the ancient ships sailing far seas,
with their treasures,
Never ran smooth, but sometimes, the storm
is the map pointing home,
And if it were easier to walk this road,
We may never have
Reached this far...

Breathtaking imagery. It has been too long since I read your words. Every time I do, they inspire and uplift me.

I have used the theme of pathways and journey to portray life before, and, actually, hints of it slip into a lot of what I write. Because it is just such a splendid image. I don't think I've seen it better elucidated than here.

"And if it were easier to walk this road,

True, how true. A great choice of words. Perfect.
Take care.
