the phone is calling at your home,
you ran down from your bedroom,
its 2:33 in the morn,

a little familiar voice is sobbing to you on the other end of the line,
theres a girl who needs her mum,
shes not having a good time,

you knew all along that that party was bad news,
now your little girl is sitting in the gutter,
16 last week but still...

shes your baby,
she'll always be,
your baby,
no matter how many years go by,
shell still be your baby,
youll still remember the day she came into your life,
shes still your baby

so you jump in the car,
dressing gown escue,
no make up on,
just the natrual you,
the engine starts and your speeding down the road,
your baby needs your help,
shes all alone,

you see her standing thin and cold,
vomit down her favorite dress,
her mascara is running,
her hair matted with stress,
you give her a hug and tell her shes safe now,

her crying ceases,
her mummy has come to save her,
she embraces you tight,
and you whisper in her ear,
"you'll always be my baby"... "
