And soon another new year
As our thoughts now turn to family
And the friends we hold so dear

Some with whom we will spend our day
And others throughout the miles
Our presents and greetings sent to them
To bring out all their smiles

But while the Angels they do sing
Please let us spend some time
For those who are less fortunate
Those ill or without a dime

For many a simple greeting
"Merry Christmas to you my friend"
Would brighten up this time of year
And cheer them up ... no end

Please think of all those families
Who have loved ones not at home
And of our many homeless
Spending this special time alone

Now's the time to open our hearts
And grab our Christmas cheer
Lend a helping hand where needed
Now...and throughout the coming year.

I liked your Christmas poem very much. We need to be reminded to put others first, and be less selfish. This season is all about love and giving. Merry Christmas to you and your family. I enjoy spending time here. Dot
