each a pain in my chest, a knife in my soul.
Yet through every throbbing beat of pain
my mind screams words I long to speak,
but you're too far away to hear,
too far away to hear.

If this beating heart fails before too long
remember I speak those words;
every night as I lie between blue sheets
"I love you's" get lost on my mind's streets.
I'd scream but you're too far away to hear,
too far away to hear.

Know my soul longs to last to see your end,
but my breaking body weakens now.
Sweat dreams to last a lifetime grow
and spider webs cocoon around me.
I'm crying out but you're too far away to hear,
too far away to hear.

My heart is breaking here, cracking
as glass dashed to pieces on the rocks.
Still every piece will shimmer to portray
the love shattering this heart to shards.
Oh you'd hear the crack, but no, you're too far away to hear,
too far away to hear.

Though my heart will fail to beat,
though my lips won't form the words I long to speak,
though I'll pass into a world with only dreams,
though I'll rest and soak my feet in crystal streams,
know I'll call out to you though you're too far away to hear,
too far away to hear.

WOW this seriously put tears in my eyes. I
think this is your best. The beauty and pain in
this poem was just heartbreaking. This is the
best poem I've read this year and wow yeah I
think the second to last stanza was my
favourite for some reason that one stood out,
but this was all just so good. I'm glad I
stumbled across this and I think I shall stop
blabbing.
