Noone understands the pain I feel inside.
Dull eyes look up then quickly down again.
Sadness slowly eats away at me until there is nothing left,
Don’t trust, don’t speak.
Be still, be quiet, be nothing.
Nothing.
I look at my face in the shining mirror,
Then down at my scars,
How did it come to this?
Why weren’t you there to help me?
I fight internally not to be happy, not to care, but the craving is too much to bear.
The metal feels so cold against my flesh; I give a small smile, the first in a while, as I dig the blade deeper,
Unleashing my true side in those few moments that noone will ever see.
I open my mouth ever so slowly and speak the softest word-
‘Noone’.

Whenever you manage to put your feelings down in words, you have succeeded. Don't stop writing. You're off to a good start.

Well done. Very good poem. It makes me sad. Life should never bring you to those extremes. Like the link back to the title at the end. xxx
