I never drank in fifty years,
But lately have swallowed a keg.
For every time I need a lift,
She brings me down two pegs.

I thought I’d found the perfect love,
And was happy these three years.
But now to drown my sorrows,
I’ll start with these four beers.

I cannot stand to be alone.
I want her all the time.
But since she does not seem to care,
I drink the entire bottle of wine.

Now as the world starts spinning,
And I have to close my eyes,
There’s whiskey and coke in the pantry,
And I’ll try them the very next time.

I never drank in fifty years,
But I never have been a part,
Of that horrible terrible club I am in,
Called the “Class of broken hearts.”

This is great Robert...unless of course it is true. I laughed all the way through it. Thanks for the smiles.
Take care,

i laughed even if it is true.

why does all country music have to be about either drinking or the fact that your wife left with your dog, to go and live with your brother.
doesn't anything else ever happen to small town folk
