Widen that great smile

So you add that makeup, you think you need

I hate it when you say ugly things about yourself
I like you as you,
And so does everybody else
So stop being so sad and blue
So many people see your beauty

I just wish you could see it too

Ugly, You say you are
But I can't see why
Your so far from ugly
You just need to open your eyes

A lot of people are like this...and it's so sad...people just go through life hating the way they look and coming out truly hideous in an effort to change it. Well written. I love it!

maybe one day she will realize perfection is in the eye of the beholder, and the eye beholding the mirror has the only right to judge perfection of oneself. good write as usual. =]

This poem was so openly honest, tender and caring that I had to blink tears away.

I think it is beautiful the way you expressed your thoughts.
