These blood stained hands
Unable to wash away what taints them
Unable to erase the mistakes
That led to all of your pain

These tear stained hands
Unable to wipe the reasons for them
Unable to shift the blame
To the one who deserves the shame

These inked stained hands
Unable to blot away what poisons them
Unable to write your pain away
But able to write what I meant to say

And what I meant to say is
That I'm glad my hands are unable to do all of this
Because it causes you pain [comments] => 7 [counter] => 159 [topic] => 48 [informant] => essentially9 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )

I'm not sure it should be "all of this." I actually think "all this" will do. Otherwise, this is stellar, interesting, and fulfilling to read.

The title caught my attention right away..I really liked this, and I relate to it a lot. Great job. I think one of the main reasons people write is just to 'write their pain away'..again, I loved the title, and the poem lol. Keep it up

I have written many times to ease my pain. Somehow, the pain keeps coming back. Thanks for posting this Jennifer.
