[bodytext] => I walk alone down the dark street, Clothing covered by a long, black leather coat. I'm in a dangerous neighborhood, Where gangs and drug-dealers abound, An Uzi is a person's best friend And most-needed ally in these alleys. The police never come here, Except with a whole S.W.A.T. team To give them protection While they gather the corpses from the street On an almost-daily basis. But I don't care that I'm endangered By just being unarmed. Behind me, there's a noise from the shadows. I feel eyes watching me, Though I don't hear the stranger's footsteps. I turn and see the child, Maybe only 15 years old, maybe younger. Gun drawn, he demands my money. His dark brown eyes quiver with fear, Evidently he's never done this before. Startled, the young man freezes As my right hand flashes to the barrel of his Colt .45 And pulls it toward my face.... His partner drops dead behind me As I spin the gun and pull it toward his face....
