Array ( [sid] => 81507 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Grey [time] => 2005-01-25 22:07:49 [hometext] => I wrote this spur of the moment. i guess its just a plea for something different in my life. It may not be good, and reviews are doubtful to come in. But this is my life in jersey. [bodytext] =>
The rain is coming down hard
and for all to see it is grey.
waiting for a phone call
alone in jersey.

i need a phone call
i need a message
i need to hear your voice again.
i'm afraid i might forget.

its raining.
run outside without a raincoat
threw my umbrella away long ago.
call out into the falling diamonds.
i wish i was somewhere.

anywhere but here.

I need a phone call
i need a hug
the wind keeps blowing past,
passing me by,
like the trains; carrying dreams away
i wish i was somewhere

alone in jersey...anywhere but here.

shy.
i can't find answers without help
a little help to turn the grey to light
i would sell my soul to make this life bright

im afraid ill forget your voice
im waiting for a call
im waiting for the other foot to fall
im waiting for the rain to stop.

im waiting to be somewhere.

anywhere but jersey in the grey.

anywhere but the grey.

i guess it can't rain forever
but maybe forever is just about right for this place
and i bet you never thought you could be severed-
bet you didn't think you could lose your faith.

im waiting for my life to start
dance underneath the stars.
but the stars are hidden tonight
burning bright
behind grey sky

rain.

i fall down on my knees
out in the rain.

the rain may not fall forever, but maybe forever is lost to this place.

maybe this is my home in the grey

maybe this is destiny.

a grey sky
an unrhyming poem
hoping to be recognized.
waiting for a call
waiting for life to start
waiting for forever to end.
waiting for jersey in the grey...

When?

i ask you

will Jersey brighten my day?
