Sometimes taking steps that
go absolutely nowhere
Like climbing but never to the top
In the same direction

feeling like I'm going backwards
feeling like I'm spiraling down
feeling like things will never turn around...

Life is so strange
and never quite fair
Beautiful tragedy seems to happen everywhere
As human mortal mistakes abound
the more we hide, the more is found
and feeling like it never stops
keeps me from getting to the top
In a personal conflict way too deep
my mind gets numb from a lack of sleep
and I still feel like I'm turned around
I still feel like I'm spiraling down
backwards into the ground...

Life is so strange
and constantly changes

Some whirlpools take forever to climb out of. I know this feeling well. You have described it with finesse.
