[hometext] => i wrote this this morning....it's hard for me to write based on emotional just felt. a few friends are slipping away from me, so i wrote this. i didn't know what to title it please help! and i need comments on the last 3rd and last stanza thank you!
[bodytext] => Friendship leaves tattoos Imprinted on my soul, And rings in my ears forever Like the bell of eternity’s toll. Fingerprints on a child’s paintings That can never be erased, But they can be covered and forgotten And sometimes even replaced. But I could never kill a seedling, That could one day grow into a powerful tree But somehow roots are not deep enough That my friends forget about me. It seems the shelter of its branches Will not suffice their many needs In fact they think it never was a timber But a garden of irritating weeds? They say the memories were never tattoos But scars that will soon fade And fingerprints from younger years Were merely child’s play “But what about the bell?
