My heart is hanging on a limb
For all the world to see
Hoping for another chance
To find a love for me.

Seeking, never finding it
Yet searching, high and low
Feeling like I’ll fail again
Same thing again, I know.

But there I saw her standing
I was too shy to say a word
I watched as she was talking
The sweetest voice I heard.

Five feet tall with long hair
Her eyes of blue did shine
A smile that lit the bar up
My God, she looked so fine.

I didn’t speak a word to her
Just watched her walk away
Something inside me froze up
Not knowing what to say.

I knew her many years ago
But now it’s been so long
I heard that she was looking too
I guess I’m not that strong.

To start a conversation
Open up, and just say hi
I never really knew her then
I now am still so shy.

It’s hard to find the courage
Self confidence has faded
All that I have been through
I’m yet feeling so jaded.

I guess if it was meant to be
I’d find the words to say
Maybe have a second chance
Could see her Another Day.

Too many times I’ve lost out
By not saying a thing
Must be fear of rejection
To loneliness I cling.

Maybe come the next time
I won’t let her walk away
Take the chance and find out
If that moment, is Another Day. [comments] => 2 [counter] => 452 [topic] => 24 [informant] => Joker17 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LoveRemembered )
