She looks so happy and smiley,
So pretty and friendly,
No one would have thought a thing
Wish I could have helped her,

Her secret stayed with her,
No one had a clue,
The sadness inside of her,
The depression and anger,
Wish I could have helped her

So many problems,
No one to turn to,
The emotions grew stronger,
Wish I could have helped her.

I saw the scars on her arms,
The pain she must have felt,
Now I understand what was wrong,
But now its too late,
Wish I could have helped her.

Gone forever,
Never to see again,
The girl with her bottled up emotions,
Now in the skies above,
Wish I could have helped her [comments] => 2 [counter] => 190 [topic] => 32 [informant] => Beni [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => SadPoetry )

Beni this is marvellous.
Infinitely sad - a missed opportunity to heal a heart.
How often it happens we will never know, it's simply tragic how people could prevent such hopeless heartache and pain by anticipating by trying a little bit how the other one feels.
So few have this great gift. "Anticipating" and prevent a heart from breaking.

Beautiful poem that tells you about this tragedy.

Love and peace
Elizabeth Dandy
