Array ( [sid] => 80377 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Lessons Of Life [time] => 2005-01-18 02:42:19 [hometext] => Not sure what to title this poem or what topic it has some history in it and it is also kinda a poem I wrote blending parts of my life with that of a samurai in the times of Peace after a decade of war [bodytext] => Do you know how the Samurai made their swords?
They would make two identical swords
One with all the good
And the other
Evil

The good one saved lives and changed the world
The other was locked away never to be used
For the harm it would do, could not be undone

These swords have seen so much death and done so much good
Bathed in the blood of young old men women and children too
But the millions who were spared lived on and diet of old
But how could they tell what was wrong or right

It was all blood in the end

I remember those times when my sword
Cut through the masses it was all
Done in the name of good
I still think that
Today

Am I right?

There is only one of me
Full of good and darkness as well
Which one was the one who killed
All those who seemed so innocent
Was it truly in the name of good
My hands are still stained with blood
I have put my sword away and now
I use my pen to change the world
But have I succeeded or am I just only
Good to kill those that appose what I believe
Is freedom really worth killing for?
My father was imprisoned most of his life
He would think so

He was wronged and was not meant to be put through what he was
But still it was and now he's free and would like to kill who wronged him
He tells me so every day if he only had the chance
He would kill the bastard who betrayed him
If I were him I think I would too
I don’t believe in revenge coz I have not seen what he has
Still I ask is freedom worth killing for? [comments] => 5 [counter] => 168 [topic] => 43 [informant] => Doriens_Picture [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 3 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )

This is very different from your normal writes.
I would have said this was telling a story rather than so much of a poem. Nonetheless it is a very good story/poem. It had my attention, it is also enjoyable with its flow.
Also it has very provoking questions within it.

Nice one hun.
