~Jaime Moran~ [bodytext] => Blinded, panicked, afraid to open my eyes,
My soul reaches for light as my heart cries,
I know the truth means safety, in darkness terror hides,
I have nothing left to give, nobody on either sides.

Once I walked in sunshine,
Where everyday the laughter fills
The meadows, the butterflies fly,
No need to watch the world pass me by.

Then my sanctuary ripped in two,
I can't help it, my "life story" I review.
For some reason, it is not good enough,
I throw myself to the creul world, brave and tough.

Which leaves me here, in this dark tunnel,
My courage drained, like cool-aide through a funnel.
Searching for something I cannot find,
Talking to beings of the dangerous kind.

And through the darkness, comes a light,
Though for some reason, it's unnaturally bright,
I rush towards it, give it a happy shout,
It's only a train, my candle flickers out, [comments] => 3 [counter] => 199 [topic] => 13 [informant] => yellow_sundragon [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )
