holding the night
black tight

Whispering
without being heard
to myself
everything's okay

As I sail
away

Dark hills
are brothers
to sleep
this night
in the Highlands
so purple
so deep dark
loving
kissing
night

Hear me,
we'll fly to a bright
blue island
lying in the sun
caressing our skin we lie
speechless in ecstasy
breathing our life
easy

drained in the waking dawn
grey
peeking through lace
layer on layer of grey
somehow
heals the soul
of striving

And flight so textured
faster flies the flight
above fluffy clouds
i feel you by me
we travel to Africa
this time
to turquoise skies
beaches of white silk
and nights by the stars
so close silky limbs entwine
dreams of eternity
we sleep cocooned
by the sound of palms

and back to skies
so blasted by rain
shatters
a tin roof
smells of sawdust rise
real people are somewhere near
real people

In the morning of us
so long ago i remember
a time of just being
a road just was

no modern thought
just a straw drifting
down my broken road [comments] => 2 [counter] => 171 [topic] => 43 [informant] => Steeleyes [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )
