    Pink and white
An oceans wave carried you out of sight
Here you lie beneath society’s eagle eye
I wish I could exorcise your ingrown life
To take away the wounds and eradicate earths spite
And splice the vines that grow in your light
You said; ‘the trees whisper a thousand words late at night’
In your temple you pray for an end to the pain
This homeless haemorrhage has stripped you sane
This is for a start to an end of destitute despair
Withdraw the cloth in the ears of a society that doesn’t care
The herds made you feel abandoned and lost
Your dog is your companion as is the frozen fragile frost
Biting at your lungs like your dogs long lashing tongue
On a stranger, whose interest is listening to your plight
Never knowing where you’ve been and the departures you’ve seen
As you explain the oceans wave that carried you out of sight
    Making your life a memory
    Of beautiful colours like
    Pink and white
As you gently grind away in the dark light…

    AUTHOR NOTE:
I just wanted to add a bit of background to this poem....

late last night i met a homeless girl called Becky and her dog Suzi who were begging outside a pub - in the morning i wrote this piece of poetry to them.. though their journey is a lot harder than mine- i wish them love and luck....peace.

amazing. powerful and well written. not a single thing bad about this except that the inspiration came from a homeless woman, when there shouldnt be a homeless anyone at all.
