Emotions bent in ways I never thought possible. Where anger was happiness and pride had a low self-esteem. As I walk the skies underneath the green. I reached in my pocket and found your heart tucked away, still beating. I thought to myself “this doesn’t belong to me”. And you don’t deserve it anyways. You never did put it to use. Your heart cries out for you. And I cry too. It weeps because you never listened. You never did pay attention. This lack of nurture is changing colors. And the red dims through time. The love subsides. As with mine. And with every stride I take, a small piece dies and falls away. I can’t reach down in time and pick it up to replace, before it dissipates…

Looking above at the treetops pointing down at me I notice their leaves beginning to fade. Clouds roll in below me and the sky turns to grey. Your heart and I grow cold, but I continue to hold it in my hands in hopes that my breath can make it warm again. It’s dying while you continue to live. Why do I try? Why do I care? The truth is I really don’t anymore. I’ve wasted too much time and energy on this greatly failed synergy between you and I. And as I wake your heart is replaced to remain empty within your chest. With a single tear that falls between beats due to the neglect. And you will die inside while your body continues to live. So I hope you’re ok with this. I find your writes intriguing, and this in particular encased in a particularly pleasurable horror and I don't know why. But keep it up! Cheers!
