I know the ache within your troubled heart-
It is there hidden behind your saddened eyes-
I can see the tears that your spirit has to shed-
I feel the pain that bears upon your uneasy soul…

Within the corridors of a tormented mind-
Clouded images of one whom no longer exist-
Pursued eternally by the demons that tear the soul-
And leave the pain of an absent past in the present…

Behind a wavering smile you try to hide your fear-
Yet still I hear the trembling in the words you speak-
For you know that a new day must surely come-
And your mind cannot deny your irresolute future…

What once was shall never again be-
The peace that joined the mind, heart and soul-
Lost forever in an endless sea of confusion and turmoil-
Now reveals only a mirrored image behind the looking glass…
