MY SISTER

Contributed by angelrae on Wednesday, 4th December 2002 @ 10:00:00 PM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

Love between my sister and I never can be broken.
Our friendship we share is such a token.

Was this bond we have always been there?
Growing up together, we never did share.

There was a lot of pain each had to endure.
We did not communicate, that is for sure.

As we each left our family home to live our lives,
One dealt with the pain, the other built a wall of cries.

How we came together, was one sister reaching to another.
Our hearts and souls were now never to smother.

We became one, as we talked about our growing years.
There were many unbearable moments that shed a lot of tears.

We will never regret all the lost moments that life seemed to snatch away,
Because it is those moments that only could bind us more and more like the hand of a prayer.

No one nor anything can take away from us what we understood,
That we are sisters forever even when we thought we never could .

The hurts, the pain, joy, and the blessings between us is the key,
For My Sister and I can now with our hearts and minds see.

Hey Angelrae, This is a very touching poem. I can feel the pain you both endured, but I can also feel the bond between you now... Great write.

It's sad to see the horrible family life you both had,but know that good came out of it,that you & your sister became closer because of it!
Great write! Christina
