Array ( [sid] => 79571 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => I thought I knew you (How could you?) [time] => 2005-01-12 10:59:05 [hometext] => This poem is about someone who I was in a relationship with for two years and who I thought I knew everything about, it turns out I didn't know him at all. [bodytext] => I thought I knew you inside out
You were my soulmate, I had no doubt
And when you said you'd save me
From the things that made me cry
I didn't have to think it over
I just left, didn't say goodbye.

At first it was wonderful
It was bliss, for awhile
I was always with the one I loved
I couldn't help but smile
But then it began to fall apart
I felt the strain upon my heart.

We began to argue all the time
The anger was yours, the fault was mine
Soon you turned to alcohol,
It made you have a fit
You got completely out of control
You didn't laugh, you hit.

How could you?
How could you be such a *****?
After everything i'd been through,
I thought you'd understand
I never thought you'd hurt me
Never thought you'd raise your hand

And now i've left you call me
You say you've changed, you say you're sorry
But people like you don't change, I know
You lack the patience and self control
I hope you never stop feeling bad
You're just like him, just like my dad. [comments] => 1 [counter] => 143 [topic] => 6 [informant] => symptom_recital [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => AngryPoetry )
