it's not fun to be in pain.
is there anything to gain?
why do people go overboard
and hang themselves with a cord?
it is very stupid
and annoying at that
to even hit yourself
with a bat

Interesting write...I guess you'd have to be in their situation to be able to understand how they feel...sometimes things get real bad and there seems as if there's no hope 'cause hope was lost for such a long time and it seemed like it was never coming back...

please comment on my work to
summer

::raised eyebrow:: stupid and annoying is in the eye of the beholder. people hurt themselves because they think they have to, only some think that it is fun. they think that they do gain something from it, another day to live. they gain a few moments of not being in reality. people obviusly kill themselves because they dont want to live, think they dont deserve to live, or they think its the only way out. pain for pain, it doesnt actually work. but it helps people cope. telling some of them to stop all of this, tells them to stop living basically.

i know you got some pretty harsh responses to this, am not going to be as harsh but you sort of did ask for it a bit.

people self harm for all sorts of reasons, maybe coz they blame themselves for the way they feel and that is how they cope with it. poems like this making them out to be abnormal don't really help.

Nice change of pace! A good question to ask... why? Sometimes we need to look at the world from a simpler perspective. Appriciate your effort.
