Array ( [sid] => 79326 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Remembering Halley [time] => 2005-01-10 18:37:07 [hometext] => This poem is controversial. This poem was about some articles I read on the Internet on the effects of depression. Look, suicide is never the answer to your problems. If you have or ever considered suicide, there are some people out there who can help you [bodytext] => They never knew what was wrong with her,
She kept her heavy emotions bottled up inside
Halley never risked telling her problems,
In paralyzing fear of the outcome

Her problems came from school,
Other people teasing her because of their own insecurities
None of her friends even knew,
If they did, she would still be alive

Halley’s parents found her one-day,
They stormed up to her room,
Ready to yell at her for no reason
Her father soon opened the door…

A bottle of nameless pills was in her ashen hand,
The bottle had been tagged full,
But all the round, white pills were gone
She had over dosed, hoping to suffuse her sorrow

Mom & Dad stood with their eyes wide open,
When closed, a waterfall came rushing
A penetrating scream filled the emptiest places of the house
Her father sadly kneeled to her, and held her limp body

Halley’s diary was later found,
Were she had confessed all her issues
She wrote a letter there, saying sorry
Her diary was kept, in her loving memory [comments] => 3 [counter] => 153 [topic] => 39 [informant] => Crimson_Rose [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Grief )
