Have I run away?
Have I disappeared?
I’m afraid to find myself awake
In case someone else is near
I’m afraid to find myself dead
Just through my fear

I can see the rainbow
Bright crisp and clear
I can feel a rainbow
Through those eyes
Steel-like, ice-like
Look up and see the rainbow dies
Fades away, can I do the same?

I want to stand up and learn
Want to stand up and smile
But till then I’ll lie here and burn
Only for a while
Tears fall from my arm
Feeling all the harm

Swirling dreams, amazing light
All the grace, beautiful sight
So happy with all the world
Never been sad, always glad
Fantastic rainbow
A kaleidoscope of colour
A beautiful sight
Underneath the sun

Could dance until the dawn
Could sing until the dusk
Could forever just sit here
In the happiness I must
Run and pick the daisies
Run and shout my praises

Could do a dance of death
Could die before the dusk
Could forever just scream
My pain and torture it must
Be time to push up the daisies
Be time to ask, what praises?

The rain cloud, black as my heart
The rain as painful as my tears
The sunshine as bright as my eyes
The sun soothing all my fears

The rainbow, colourful, beautiful, happiness defined
The rainbow like torture to my eyes
The pain, the sadness,
It’s all the same no need to point out any gladness
Easy to see and wonderful
Until it fades away…
Made up of my rain
Fades, becomes harder to see
Oh why can’t it stay?
Oh why can’t that be me? [comments] => 2 [counter] => 160 [topic] => 61 [informant] => LucisLucy [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => selfstruggles )

I don't like the repetition so much, because you repeat thing over and over. But I do like the imagery you displayed and the meaning behind the words.

reminds me of the 60's when people did L.S.D and wrote when they were doing acid trips..
