i completely feel like dirt.

on the phone we were talkin,
and i wanted to mess around,
so i started jokin,
next thing i heard was the dial tone sound.

i just wanted to make you laugh,
but i went to far.
so now my hearts torn in half
as i think about you in the stars.

i thought that we had bonded,
just the night before.
but when i was jokin and you responded,
i knew your heart was sore.

so now im on my knees,
asking for forgiveness.
cuz, honey, i want you to know please,
i want to give you happiness.

now im all alone,
in this world of tears and hate.
so cant we start over,
with a clean slate?

i think about you constantly,
as i wipe tears from my eyes.
as i sit cold and lonely,
just know that i apologize.

i love you more than my heart can stand
for i dont want you to worry.
i just want to hold your hand,

i know that i have hurt you,
i know you are really hurt.
and now that i know ive hurt you,
i completely feel like dirt.
