You love my deception and your trust will be the end. The beauty of facade is it could end right now or you might never know. What you don't know kills me~ [bodytext] => so this is how it is
to be yours
i'm uncovering the freshest cut
beneath the sleeves of our love
opening up the skin into folds
one side is us and the other is me
but what bleeds between us?

i jump in the shower
readily erasing the evidence
of my doubt
but what spirals down the drain
is such a peice of me

whenever you ask
to explore this temple
i will refuse
not because i don't love it
when you touch me
simply becuase you must never know
that i think about you everytime
i toy with the notion
that i am immortal
and when i finally decide
that you are the blood
and i am the skin
peeled back into two
it's far past possible
to forget the scars

i am left to hide
this imbelishment
of our love
this token of my discovery
you must never know
that your face is the god

I've read this 3 times and I am still in awe. I
have never read a poem about cutting that
has been this poetic and utterly terrific. This poem is completely magnificent and I love the
imagery with the shower because I
remember times I have done the same thing.
"but what spirals down the drain
is such a peice of me"
So true and so poignantly stated.

I think this is one of my all time favorites! I can read it two different ways but both are powerful! Love it!
