IT IS LOVELY

It is lovely, if I may say so
There is nothing to do, no place to go
Just sit in the grass and enjoy the park
Watch the sun cross the sky in a lingering arc
Relax and feel the wind blow
It is to some great god we owe
This lovely day, this pleasant glow
We'll sit here until it gets dark
It is lovely
So lazy I cannot move a toe
Around us time runs slow
The Truth is stark
We've bared our souls, trees withiout bark
In a day we've learned all we need to know
It is lovely
