There are angels among us, they say,
I discovered mine by accident one day
Actually, he found me amid the strife
When I had sought... to end my life,
He showered hope where there was none
And bade me,"Hold" when I wanted to run,
He helped to keep the demons at bay
And soothed my soul; drove out my dismay,
He was my friend in all things,
From the curl in his toes
To the tip of his wings...
