Scorched from all these games,
Heart is far too weak,
Can not stand this sort of heat.

As it melts away your love drips
It burns you to drink take small sips,
You reach out to touch one last time,
But you get punished for this sort of crime.

Although hearts burnt you can’t walk away,
You stay live to get beat for another day,
It’s as if pain is your pleasure,
That others tarnish is your treasure.

The flames grow as does the pain,
You’d think it’d be enough to drive you insane,
But still you go on fighting through,
Because this is the thing that you feel you must do.

You cry no tears as your feelings,
Are hidden & you can fight their meanings,
As love that hurts has clouded & numbed,
To the pain called love you have long succumb.

Burning heart ablaze in flames,
Scorched from all these games,
Heart is far too weak,
Can not stand this sort of heat.

A curious write this.......love is an awful lot of pain isnt it? In the long haul though I think it's worth it ;o)

Lot of sadness and pain, but yet a longing for love again, it seems. There's the old saying ...."it is better to have loved and lost, then not to have loved at all...."
