The hatred builds as i draw nearer
The hatred for this town, for god
Why did they have to take her away?

She was so beautiful, this witch i loved
I swore revenge on the town
When they took her away from me
The minister died by my hand

And as they lead me to the gallows
To kill in the name of god
I shout curses at them, wishing them death
Now i have reached the gallows

As they fit the rope around my neck
My anger and hate rage out of control
I swear revenge from beyond my grave,
As my neck snaps and death comes [comments] => 7 [counter] => 232 [topic] => 13 [informant] => blacksabbath026 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

reminded me of the witch of blackbird pond and the crucible. excellent write. people say hanging is cruel and unusual punishment but its actually one of the more human because the person suffocates while they are unconcious.
