Array ( [sid] => 77631 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => I miss you, so much [time] => 2004-12-29 11:41:55 [hometext] => For Shawn. I met him at the mad house, but he didn't belong there. He was the nicest person I have ever met. And I can't forget him. He healed me more than that esylum ever could. [bodytext] => The stars were so much brighter, through those blocked windows
After I got to know you
I always felt safe, that past week
You always smiled at me
And gave me great advice, about how to deal in this mad house
I could turn to you
And see you smiling at me
You didn't care that I was four years younger
You treated me like an equal
Noone has ever done that for me
When the other "Thought Dissorder" kids got mad at me
You put your arm around me and sheltered me from their insults
You always sat there right next to me during "End of the day group disscussion"
And when they told us to say something good about the person next to you
You would look at me so sweetly and say "She is so kind. She doesn't judge people by why their here."
After you said that I made friends
I miss you. I only saw you for three minutes after our release
I can't forget you. And I have tried.
It seems fate doesn't want me to, either
For I am always sent reminders, of the man that cared
So I lift the blade over my arm
And cut a perminate reminder
EVC I carve so carefully
On the same arm as you had
I do the same thing that landed you in that esylum
But this time, it is for love
Not want of a tatoo
"I miss you, Shawn, so much" I chant through the pain.
May I see you again. Oh please, may I see you again. OMG this is almost exactly what I am going through, and have been going through for over 16 years now. This is such a heartfelt write! It's wonderful to be touched by another soul such as your Shawn and my Greg. Aside from the few typoes I've spotted, this is a good write with the emotions very clearly expressed.

Hold onto the memories, never let them go.
peace
TS

I think you have expressed
your emotions very vividly
in this poem.
Perhaps its length and
character development
makes this my favorite of the
"Shawn poems".
