Left Alone

A cold dark silent night, you dumped my body out of sight.
You had to know it wasn't right, but that didn't stop you from taking flight.
While I lay there shivering alone, I snuggled up next to a stone.
When my naked body was almost dead, some lady appeared and helped out instead.
She adopted and raised me as her own, and boy did I really grow.
Even though she helped me through, I still have some questions for you.
She already told me how you didn't get far, and how you kept quiet in the squad car.
Even while locked behind bars, you still left me dying beneath the stars.
Why was that? Was I a mistake? Is that why you put me near the lake,
Maybe because I wasn't supposed to wake, or did you do it for my sake.
Come on answer me! Don't I at least deserve to see?
the reason why I didn't deserve to be, was it because I was a she?
I though you should at least know, that I had a little girl a while ago,
and now that things are off my chest, I'll leave you alone and let you rest.
Because my little girl shall never know, about the night I almost died,
about how you again kept quiet, and how lucky we are to be alive.
It's funny how things change, because you're the one whose all alone,
If it were left up to me, your final sentence would be.
To rot and be a meal for the maggots, until your body smells
and then you will forever dwell, in the deepest darkest place in hell.
