Left, Right, Left

war
|
The only sound made was a
Left, Right, Left
As they proudly treaded foward
Long harsh nights waiting beside the fire
For news that this war was over
Days upon days waiting silently
As the plans for a battle erupt,
Painful expressions are all that you find
They know what is expected
Yet their head is still held high
With pride for one another
They march forward with a sound of
Left, Right, Left

it was an okay poem. this doesnt seem to be powerful or emotional like a war tends to be. and the left, right, left part was unusual because its commonly known as left, right, left, right. |
