The black honey
bleeding out of
the broken paperbacks of
comic book graffiti

for a paper heart
chased by ink rain
that chokes like bullets

the bitterness of my
dreams
defeated
the sweetness of my
dreams
expressed

to someone who believes
my poetry

Oooh, I like this, though I don't pretend to understand any of it.

Hmmm, and I can't say I even have a fave stanza, because I really like it all, and everytime I try to say a bit I like most I like another bit. lol.

Anyway, great write, glad to have ya back.

*hugs* Phil xxx

To actually have someone truly feel what we felt when we put the ideas to paper.....thats the ultimate victory for a poet.

I probably missed your entire point here but it sounded great huh?

Loved the first stanza:
"The black honey
bleeding out of
the broken paperbacks of
comic book graffiti"
That was great, a perfect opening to this
poem and the significance of it.
