yet no one answers
agony art mine
for i am lost

I wonder aimlessly seeking hope
yet all is gone
the hope which once bewitched me seems now dead upon the winter frost

I lie upon the earth
the cold surrounds me
the ground moans beneath me as my bones lay broken upon it
I cannot continue
there is no one to catch my fall

Then as I watched
even as my aching breath dwindled
the murk grey sky began to dissipate
the sun was eclipsed by dawning light
the foundations shook
the lodestone of burden lifted
the cornerstones fell
stone met stone in collision with crashing vengeance
like a skilled smiths hammer hewn upon silver
it shone upon me
my spirit was wrought

The light was beautiful beyond all
the handi work of some unknown god
from its depths song peirced the hills
its voice like choir of nephilim
laughter like a thousand sparrows
into the dark recesses of my heart
its beam shines through me

Behind dilated pupils a fire is kindled inside
from the ashes my ghost awakens
I pick up my corpse from the dust
I steady myself to continue on along my lonely road
I set forth after the distant light
like the pheonix i will rise again [comments] => 3 [counter] => 188 [topic] => 13 [informant] => AgeOfAquarias1960 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )
