And I could tell by the tone
Dad said something was wrong
And the ambulance would be here not before long
I raced to the hospital and there you laid
Everything done from that point on by with aid
One, two, three, four days gone I realized this was it
And all I could do was sit
Sit and wait til the time was right
To say good bye and don't be scared to give up the fight
The hardest thing I ever had to do
Was to tell you to go and that I'll still love you
Morning came around and we all watched as
Your breathes became labored, each there own thought had
That moment came when I had to leave
And take the time to believe
That there is a place for you to go
And then so
A familiar face from around the bend
To let me know of your end
Goodbye now is all I could say
As I saw your warm body lay
No more heart beat
And no more walking on your feet
Now it was time for you to fly
Away with the Angels up and away so high
Goodbye, Goodbye you have finally reached the Sky. [comments] => 1 [counter] => 221 [topic] => 39 [informant] => sng977 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 9 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Grief )
