No, it's not true
I just saw you yesterday
There's so many things I never got to say to you

I heard it on the news...
Was it real?
God, help me to understand
And take away the pain I feel

Why was it that the one who died
Was the one who deserved to live?
I see no fairness in the murder of innocence
A sin I could never forgive

God, can you explain to me
Why she had to die?
Or do you wish to conceal your reasons
And never let me know why?

Disconnected and hidden in the shadows
I can't show people my pain
It's useless to try and forget
Innocent madness will drive me insane

I heard it on the news...
Was it real?
She's gone, and is never coming
And my pain will never seem to heal
