[bodytext] => Nothing really to say. I saw a cloud, with sunlight streaming through it, and I started thinking. Then it turned into something else. It always does. Started December 21, attempted to finish December 23 and 24. Slice open the clouds; Spill forth the sunshine and the Lazy rain, Like cloying cream, Dissipating in murky, black coffee, To be drunk up Swallowed without appreciation, Absorbed thoughtlessly, By the greedy and the selfish. Lapped up lazily like luscious lavender tea, Eagerly enjoyed in summer’s eve, Succulently sipped in silence, While casually resting in the gazebo. Enjoying the balmy air, And laughing gaily at the young neighbours; Cavorting about, Galumphing after lightning-bugs, Squealing in delight As they flicker and flash, Sparkle and shimmer, Glitter and gleam. Racing across dusk-kissed grass, Sparkling beneath ruby droplets, Glistening like crimson teardrops, Fallen from ominous, dull clouds. Tumbling like blood Leaking from freshly-wrought wounds, Corroding soft flesh, Leaving pin-prick holes, Exposed to the harsh winds, That erode and abrade, Leaving not but skeletons and dust - Dirty ashes - In their wake; Travelling slowly upon the storm, To settle upon the earth. Feeding the gluttony of the world, As they obliviously devour All that their credulity Has to offer. The skies’ tainted wind, And lazy rain.
