behind walls of stone
Hiding the monster, that he had grown
watching its energy being released
the walls come down because of this beast

the man gives up
after just a hour
allows the monster
his life to devour

the satisfied beast
as if to implore
tilted its head
and let out a roar

the beast had won
the anger was done
down came the paws
in went the claws

the man sat up
and went for his knife
and courageously took his own life
so the beast couldn't come back

This definitely has a mysterious feel to it, I like it. It is creative and original.

I hate to be pedantic (and even hypercritical considering my last poem!) but you should check your spelling a bit more carefully before posting.
